Control Engineering using Matlab/Simulink
The mathematical content of control engineering makes it a difficult subject when first studied. This
workshop session uses the Matlab software package to solve the maths. The aim is to reinforce the
key principles of control engineering, hopefully without getting lost in the mathematical background.
Matlab is widely used in academia and industry. It is an interactive programming language that can
be used in many ways, including data analysis and visualisation, engineering problem solving and
simulation. Matlab may be used as an interactive tool or as a high level programming language.
