This paper provides information about the sample drivers that are supplied with the user-mode driver fr a mework (UMDF), which is a component of the Windows Driver Foundation (WDF) for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. It steps through the Skeleton sample driver and explains the structure of a UMDF driver. The paper also provides guidelines for using the Skeleton sample as a basis for user-mode driver development.
