使用MapInfo的通用转用器imut.exe将Mif转为shp，使用前需要安装Mapinfo的imut.exe。稍做修改就可以将tab,shp,mif,dem等格式互换。通用转换器”可将这些文件格式转换为 MapInfo .TAB 和 .MIF\.MID 文件：
• AutoCAD DWG/DXF
• ESRI ArcInfo Export (E00)
• ESRI Shapefile (SHP)
• MicroStation Design (DGN)
• 空间数据转换标准 (SDTS)
• 矢量产品格式 (VPF)
“通用转换器”可将 MapInfo .TAB 和 .MIF\.MID 文件转换为以下格式：
• AutoCAD DWG/DXF
• ESRI ArcInfo Export (E00)
• ESRI Shapefile
• MicroStation Design -Using the MapInfo Universal turn the the Appliances imut.exe will Mif into shp to Mapinfo imut.exe needs to be installed before use. Small modifications can swap the tab, shp, mif, dem format.
