EGNOS is a Space Based Augmentation System (SBAS) developed by the European Space
Agency (ESA), the European Commission (EC) and Eurocontrol in order to augment GPS
within Europe. The system utilises a network of reference stations in order to provide
differential corrections and an integrity service via geostationary satellite broadcast whichterrestrial communications (e.g. GSM) in real time.
