Skeleton obtained from the refinement of the original image not only maintain the geometrical and topological features, and more importantly, a reduction of redundant images. A variety of thinning algorithm, this paper introduces a simple algorithm but it has other advantages of the thinning algorithm. This algorithm uses only a few simple rules to decide whether to delete pixels in order to achieve the purpose of refinement. By computer simulation of the algorithm to processing of Chinese characters, confirming its fast and easy to implement.
